Annie Waddington-Feather
Freelance Writer & Communications Consultant

Annie’s adventurous spirit stems from having been ‘kicked out to play’ in the back yard and growing up in rural Shropshire gave her plenty of back yard to play in. Numerous family camping trips throughout Europe during her childhood gave her a taste for overseas travel, and after completing her education and managing a busy wine bar, she spent several years traveling the world, first as a backpacker and later as a tour leader for an adventure travel company.

During these years she had many memorable experiences, notably in the Middle East, Africa, Central America and Eastern Europe, including trekking with camels in northern Kenya, riding donkeys in the Valley of the Kings, trekking Tiger Leaping Gorge in south-west China and sampling ‘Bull’s Blood” wine in Hungary.

After hanging up her backpack, Annie developed her writing and communication talents in the corporate world, working first in London and later in Shropshire.

She now lives in Blackwood, South Australia and works within an International market – making her tax return a nightmare!

Her interests are as varied as her experiences. She’s a Second Dan in Ki Aikido and an accomplished horsewoman; she also enjoys belly-dancing and playing the cello.
